We are currently preparing for our first implementation trip that will take place during the summer of 2014, which will involve the drilling of a borehole well and assessment of the feasibility of a water distribution system. We have submitted an alternatives analysis (523) and a pre-implementation report draft (524) and will submit the final pre-implementation report (525) on March 20th. The borehole well will give the best chance of providing a year-round water source that is unlikely to ever need treatment. At a minimum, it will provide water for basic personal and food hygiene needs (about twenty liters per person, per day) for the next twenty years and for about 1,500 people, which is Dorma’s projected population in year 2035. If the yield from this well is high enough, we will proceed with the rest of the project the next summer.
